Mirjana Ivanovic received her BS (1983), MS (1988) and PhD (1992) degrees in computer science from the Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Since 2002, she has been a full professor in the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
Her research interests include: multiagent systems, e-learning, Web-based learning, software engineering education, the application of intelligent techniques (data mining, Web mining, case-based reasoning), and programming languages and tools.
She is the author or co-author of more than 150 research papers and 12 textbooks in different domains of informatics. Most of her papers have been published in the proceedings of international conferences and journals. She has given several invited lectures at international and national conferences, and has been a lecturer at several workshops and seminars.
Over the past ten years, Mirjana has visited many different European universities–in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Poland, Hungary, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, and the Czech Republic–for research. Recently, she was the principal investigator of three international research projects.
She has served on the program committees for more than 50 international conferences, as well on the steering committees for two international conferences. Occasionally, she serves as a reviewer for different international journals. In addition, she is the vice editor-in-chief of the Serbian international journal ComSIS (Computer Science and Information Systems). She has been a member of the ACM since 1988.
Mirjana is married, and is the mother of two children.
